About

KARUNYA TRUST IS A MULTI-RELIGIOUS NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION, FORMED IN MAY 1998, REGISTERED UNDER BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUST ACT 1950 . IT WAS INAUGURATED BY THE THEN GOVERNOR DR. P.C ALEXANDER.

Our Vision

"A just and harmonious society rooted in the gospel values of love, freedom and peace."

Our Mission

"To restore the dignity and potential of marginalized individuals and communities by facilitating access to holistic education, health, livelihood, and stable shelter."

Social Problem Definition

Marginalized individuals and communities are vulnerable and lack access to education, health, stable shelter and meaningful livelihoods leading to abusive life styles towards the self and others.

Our Role

Karunya Trust considers the roles of a Facilitator and Implementer as its primary role and also plays the secondary roles of an Analyst, Catalyst, Enabler, Coordinator and Advocate.

Karunya Trust partners for the development of the society with children at its core. It aims at providing a safety net to thousands of vulnerable children deprived of basic necessities and developmental opportunities.

Karunya Trust caters to needy children irrespective of caste, creed and religion. A major thrust is to develop new programmes for overall development of the children through educational, vocational and health facilities.

Karunya Trust devotes its efforts to the financial development of the family through vocational and income generation programmes.

All activities of the Trust are patterned on the model evolved by Mother Teresa and are dedicated to her memory. Karunya Trust was in fact established in the year she died and its activities are being reinforced on the eve of her beatification.

Who We Are

Karunya Trust stands for the noble ideals of the development of the society with children at its central point.
