Update 01
Study Tour to CSMVS Museum
34 students from Dharavi visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. They explored India’s rich history through exhibits on ancient tools, art, culture, and natural history. The hands-on experience and guided sessions made the visit insightful and memorable.

Science Exhibition
On the occasion of National Science Day, a science exhibition was organized in collaboration with Agastya International Foundation. Students explored interactive models such as the Periscope, Kaleidoscope, Newton’s Disc, and more, gaining hands-on understanding of scientific concepts.

Student Health Assessment & Nutrition Awareness
Samya Charitable Trust conducted a health assessment for pre-primary and primary students, led by Dr. Namrata Bhable along with team members Seema and Surbhi. The activity included student registration, followed by measurement of height and weight, and a general health check-up covering overall physical and skin health.

Self-Defence & Sports Highlights
The self-defence and karate sessions at Gyansaathi are helping students build confidence, discipline, and basic safety skills. Led by Shan Mohamad Ashraf Miya (5th Dan Black Belt), each session includes meditation, warm-ups, and practical training like kicks, drills, and kumite.

Health Camp in Pimploli Village
With support from Holy Cross Hospital, Kalyan, a health check-up and medicine distribution camp was conducted in Pimploli village, Kalyan taluka, in response to a dengue outbreak in the area. The initiative aimed to address health concerns and support the local community.
Update 06
Vocational Stall Initiatives
Gyansaathi beneficiaries received valuable opportunities to showcase and sell their handmade products through multiple vocational stalls. During a two-day Valentine’s Day stall at The Westin Hotel, Powai, items such as candles, jewellery, bags, and other gift products were displayed, benefiting 15 participants and generating ₹9,025 in sales.

Empowering Women of Pimpaloli Village
Pimpaloli village, located about 18–20 km from Kalyan taluka, has around 150 families, most of whom belong to the OBC community. While men are engaged in farming or salaried jobs, women are primarily homemakers.

In the village of Antade, 33-year-old Urmila Umesh Bhoir transformed her life from a housewife burdened by financial challenges into a self-reliant businesswoman. With a family of six depending on her, Urmila longed to contribute but lacked opportunities and skills.

Standing Strong for Housing Rights in Ghodakhadak
In Ghodakhadak village, 21 Katkari families lived in unsafe homes made of mud and tin. Despite multiple appeals, their applications for Indira Awas Yojana (now Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin) were ignored.

Karunya Trust, with support from Deutsche Bank, marked Van Mahotsav 2025 by planting 1,000 trees with the help of 88 Deutsche Bank volunteers.
