Why We Intervene
We saw individuals and families struggling because they lacked stable employment or a reliable source of income. Many people were willing to work but did not have the skills or opportunities needed to earn a sustainable livelihood. We also encountered small entrepreneurs who had the potential to grow but lacked the means to do so. Karunya Trust began I-SAVE to help people move towards greater economic independence, dignity and self-reliance through sustainable livelihood opportunities
