Why We Intervene
Our work in rural and urban communities showed us that individual families cannot thrive when the wider community lacks basic infrastructure. We saw schools without adequate facilities, communities without proper sanitation or lighting, and public spaces that were unsafe or unsuitable for children and families. Karunya Trust began UPLIFT to respond to these wider community needs and help create environments where people can live, learn and grow with greater safety and dignity.
